The 2005 EVE Fanfest is over, you can see pictures here and a dev blog wrapup (need IGB devblog page link) here. We're also assembling more pictures, videos and presentations for download or on DVD so stay tuned!

It's that time again ...
time for the party at the top of the world!
Reykjavik Iceland, October 20th - 22nd

The 2004 EVEfest was a success and we aim to do far better this year. We have presentations from the leads at CCP, we have the pre-launch of our upcoming expansion, code-named Kali, technical sessions, panel discussions, the EVE Championship, and we have added developer roundtables and and the first glimpse of EVE Trading Card Game!

We will also have an über exclusive party this year, yes, that's right. We know that wasn't our strongest side last year. But this years Fan Fest party is simply going to blow you away.!

Our main event is held after the main presentation on the Saturday, featuring the CCP Big Band, amazingly enough consisting of more than 14 developers! If you think we can mess up EVE now and then, just wait till you hear this ...

As we did last year, the fan fest is held at the same time as Iceland Airwaves festival, a rising music festival dedicated to new and upcoming international bands. You can read a bit more about how the experience is here.

Don't forget the Reykjavik cultural scene and of course the nightlife if you are a person which doesn't mind staying awake till early morning. The Grapevine, a free Icelandic monthly newspaper covers most of what’s up and what’s not so up.

Our media center will also be open during the fest, it will have the EVE Store with special EVEfest items and our regular line up at discount prices. You will be able to train your skills, check email and mingle with devs and other attendees of the fest.

Travel partners: Our primary travel partner, Icelandair, offer flight and hotel packages from all of their major destinations as they did last year. Included in the package is a full pass to the Iceland Airwaves festival and access pass to the EVEfest!

Iceland Express will offer a fixed rate on any return flights from Copenhagen and London over the Fan Fest Weekend. You will have to buy your own Fan Fest ticket and arrange for your accommodation and it does not include a pass to Iceland Airwaves. Check out their flight prices at the top of the page and EVE special hotel deals on their website.

This years venue is Loftkastalinn, the same as last year except this time we're open from Thursday to Saturday. The Media Center and the store is at Loftkastalinn this year too so you can hang out there all weekend with fellow players and developers. The Friday and Saturday schedule also takes place at Loftkastallin, no need to relocate between sessions, that includes the big party!

At this years über exclusive party we have the DEV big-band debut, playing in public for the first time. We also have three bands in which our lovely GM's are in, their music is as varied (and weird) as they are! We have some new EVE-Wear we want to show you in a mini-fashion show and to end the fest, we are importing a superstar DJ in collaboration with Iceland Airwaves. This will all take place at a new "shard" of Loftkastalinn and does not require are Airwaves pass to attend, the fanfest pass is sufficient.
