CCP is pleased to enter into its third year of supporting Child's Play, a charity founded by Penny Arcade that provides gaming equipment, toys and craft materials to children's hospitals for the benefit of patients and their families. Studies have shown that playing videogames can be an important part of treatment for critically and terminally ill children, helping them with pain management and resulting in faster recovery. As one of the world's leading independent game publishers, CCP values the importance of online and gaming communities and the wide range of people who comprise them, and wants to lend its support to this worthy cause.

During this year's Fanfest, CCP will be holding a silent auction with all proceeds going to Child’s Play, and we'd like you to join us. We'll be offering a wide range of cool items that include some EVE collectable pieces, so in addition to this unique chance to own a rare EVE object, you'll be helping kids on several continents have an easier hospital stay.

For those arriving on or before November 1, you also have a chance for a closer look at CCP. One of the items on auction is a tour around the office, which will of course include introductions to our multitalented boys and gals in Reykjavik's HQ. We're starting this one early, so until October 28 at 12 p.m. simply click here and place as many bids as you want. The tour will take place on November 1, before everyone rushes out to have fun at Fanfest, so if you want to make sure you'll win that golden ticket to the backstage of the galaxy, just raise your bid.
