The illustrated short story 'The Artifice Maker' tells the tale of an Amarrian migration worker caught up in the whirlstorm of a social uprising.

EVE CCG at Fanfest 2007 Fanfest is just around the corner (November 1-3), and the celebration of everything EVE will play host to three days of Second Genesis demos and events celebrating the release of the game’s first expansion, The Exiled.

Demonstrations of the game will be run all day Thursday in the CCG room, and cards will be given away to any new players who stop by to learn the game. This is a great chance for EVE fans to learn the game and get a head start on their collection! The free cards will also come in handy for the constructed tournament on Friday.

Registration for the Friday tournament begins at 9:30, and the first round kicks off just 30 minutes later at ten o’clock. The number of rounds is determined by the number of participants, but players can expect to play for four or five one-hour rounds before the finals begin. All players will receive booster packs as participation prizes, but those CEOs who excel at crushing their opponents can look forward to the following:

  • The top 10 players will receive metal ISK sets (game tokens, not Icelandic currency!)
  • Second and third place players will receive signed, framed artwork from The Exiled
  • The first place player will receive a full set of framed, uncut card sheets from The Exiled
  • Uncut foil card sheets will be given away as door prizes
  • Demonstrations and card giveaways will continue through Saturday, and feature a special challenge event: “Pod a Dev.” The Second Genesis developers will have their personal decks at the ready all day, prepared to throw down with any player brave enough to accept their challenge. They will reward any CEO who manages to defeat them with a full playset of the latest four promo cards. These cards are powerful additions to any collection, and are available here for the first time.

Good luck, CEOs, and we’ll see you at Fanfest!
