The Silent Auction
CCP is continuing our support for the Child’s Play charity for the fourth year, by hosting another silent auction. We’ve gathered together a number of rare EVE items for this event, including a set of faction dog tags, a 1 year subscription, signed art prints, the chance to design a mission, and a few more items to be revealed at Fanfest. This is your chance to obtain some cool collectable pieces while helping kids on several continents have an easier hospital stay.Win a Tour of CCP Headquarters!
For those arriving on or before November 5 2008, you also have a chance for a closer look at CCP. One of the items on auction is a unique tour around the office lead by CEO Hilmar Pétursson, which will of course include introductions to our multitalented boys and gals in Reykjavik's HQ. We're starting this one early, so until 24:00 on October 22 simply email officetour@ccpgames.com to place as many bids as you want. Bidding starts at $1000 (USD). The tour will take place on November 5 2008, before everyone rushes out to have fun at Fanfest, so if you want to make sure you'll win that golden ticket to the backstage of the galaxy, just raise your bid!
Silent Auction at the Fanfest Venue
The items on auction will be displayed prominently on the 1st floor of the venue and bidding will begin once Fanfest opens on November 06 2008. Those people who wish to bid on an item will write their bids on a slip of paper and drop them into one of the 3 boxes at the display area.
When the winners will be announced?
Winners will be announced at the end of the day November 08 2008 before the party.
How will players get the prizes and how will they pay?
The winners will pay their winning bid on site at the Fanfest venue in the EVE Store. Prizes will be on-site and issued to the winning player immediately upon payment.
About Child‘s Play
All proceeds from the Silent Auction go directly to support Child’s Play, a charity that provides gaming equipment, books, toys and craft materials to children's hospitals for the benefit of patients and their families. Studies have shown that playing videogames can be an important part of treatment for critically and terminally ill children, helping them with pain management and resulting in faster recovery. As one of the world's leading independent game publishers, CCP values the importance of online and gaming communities and the wide range of people who comprise them, and wants to lend its support to this worthy cause.
