11.1 I don’t like my character’s name anymore and have a better one I’d like to use. Can I file a petition to have it changed?
No. Name change requests of this nature will not be honored.
11.2 Someone said he was going to report me because he found my name offensive. Will my character be deleted?
If you are concerned that you may have unintentionally created a character with an inappropriate name, contact Customer Support or file an in-game petition. Your case will be reviewed to determine whether or not the name is objectionable. If the decision is that the name is inappropriate and you have an account in good standing, you may be eligible for name change approval. Be aware that contacting Support does not guarantee such approval and your character and its assets may be deleted.
- 11.3 I was in a corporation when I created this character and they made me include the corp abbreviation in my name. I’m in a new corp now. Can a GM delete the old abbreviation for me?
No. In these cases, GM’s will not alter the character name, even if it is only to remove a corp abbreviation. Players are urged not to include anything in their names that they do not wish to be permanent. CEO’s of corporations are asked not to require this of their members.
11.4 I had an argument in the game with another player and now he and his corp members are harassing me. Will you change my name so they can’t find me anymore?
GM’s will not change your name in cases like this. If you feel other players are harassing you, please read the section regarding harassment in Section 12 to learn what options are available to you in order to resolve the issue.
